Kyrgyz National Kabar News Agency was founded in 1937 and is the very first news agency in Kyrgyzstan. It is the only state information resource that coordinates the domestic and international information policy of the country. The agency publishes news in Kyrgyz, Russian, English, Arabic, Turkish, and Chinese.
The tasks of the Kabar agency include collecting and promptly disseminating objective information about the most important events in the socio-political life of Kyrgyzstan and all of Central Asia.
The agency carries out international and foreign economic relations in the information and other spheres of activity with foreign countries. Currently, the agency has agreements on news exchange with all CIS countries, a number of well-known world news agencies - Xinhua, CNA (China), Yonhap, Anadolu, TASS, WAM, QNA (Qatar) etc.
The agency is the main supplier of official information to other media and the mouthpiece of state power. It regularly holds press conferences with the participation of heads and representatives of government agencies, international organizations, business communities, public associations and others.
