Assets of state-owned enterprises of Kyrgyzstan grew by KGS 236B over 4 years

Bishkek, Nov.18, 2024. /Kabar/. At the end of 9 months of 2024, the assets of state enterprises and state companies amounted to KGS 445.7 billion, which is 236 billion more than in 2020, the State Agency for State Property Management of Kyrgyzstan said.

Thus, this figure represents an increase of 213.2% compared to 2020.

This year, most of the funds were provided in the form of dividends from large state-owned companies. At the end of 2020, the state budget received KGS 2 billion 176 million. In 2023, KGS 18 billion 205 million of dividends were received, in 2024, KGS 21 billion 386 million of dividends were provided. This indicator increased by KGS 19 billion compared to 2020.

The work on optimization of state-owned enterprises through reorganization and liquidation of unprofitable enterprises is also underway. Thus, in 2021 the number of SOEs amounted to 103, in 2023 - 59, currently - 61. Of these, in the agricultural sector, 22 state-owned enterprises were merged into 4 enterprises.
