Bishkek, Oct. 29, 2024. /Kabar/. Bishkek team of school No. 20 named after Heydar Aliyev participated in the SAF 2024 International Festival in Azerbaijan, the press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported.
The festival was attended by representatives of 21 countries - Azerbaijan, Germany, USA, Norway, Netherlands, Turkey, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and others.
Kyrgyzstan became a participant of the festival for the first time and presented two of its projects, one of which won first place in the Green Initiatives nomination.
Thus, the “Air Pollution Problems. Filter for coal stove chimney” project presents the development of a filter to clean the smoke exit into the atmosphere. This problem is urgent for Kyrgyzstan during the heating season, the proposed filter will help to improve the environmental situation not only in our country, but also in other countries.
The project participants received a gold medal and a laptop.
The second project “Clean Rivers. The Way to a Sustainable Future” is dedicated to the problem of river pollution, where the use of special multi-stage water filtration is proposed to solve the problem.
This project was recognized with the Friendly Team Awards incentive award.
“The festival is dedicated to “green” innovations, STEAM education technologies and preparation for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change,” the report says.
