Bishkek, Jan.22, 2025. /Kabar/. We are not planning mindless expansion of roads, as we must preserve green spaces, as well as places for pedestrians and bicycle lanes, Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev said Wednesday at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.
He added that this year the functioning of dedicated lines for buses was temporarily suspended due to the repair of six central roads. However, work on the organization of dedicated lines will be continued and brought to implementation.
“To date, 1,200 buses are on the route lines. In the future, as part of the implementation of various projects, it is planned to purchase about 300 additional buses. This year we expect the arrival of new vehicles”, the head of the Mayor’s Office noted.
