Bishkek, Nov. 1, 2024. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov held a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi in the city of Dammam.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of intensification of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
Ambassador UMaripov spoke about the favorable dynamics of bilateral relations between the two countries in recent years, trade, economic and investment potential of the Kyrgyz Republic, socio-economic achievements and rapid development of the national economy of the country, large investment projects being implemented, and also noted the important role of the Kyrgyz-Saudi Business Council in establishing ties between representatives of private sectors of the two countries.
At the meeting, the ambassador emphasized the issues of the upcoming visit of the Saudi Arabian business delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic and invited his interlocutor to also visit Kyrgyzstan in order to familiarize himself with the potential opportunities for bilateral cooperation and increase trade turnover between the two countries.
For his part, Hamad Al-Khalidi thanked the ambassador for the meeting and the proposals on further activation of bilateral cooperation and expressed readiness to develop trade and economic cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in areas of mutual interest.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed that members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Eastern Province of KSA will definitely visit Kyrgyzstan as part of the Saudi delegation during the upcoming visit of Saudi business circles to Kyrgyzstan.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia is one of the largest chambers of commerce in the Kingdom. The largest National Oil Company “SAUDI ARAMCO” is located on the territory of this province, as well as large Saudi companies are operating.
