On November 5, as part of his state visit to Kyrgyzstan, President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited the Bishkek State Hospital of Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship named after Recep Tayyip Erdogan, where he got acquainted with the conditions for providing high-quality medical care to patients.
The Ministry of Health reported that during the visit Recep Tayyip Erdogan was accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev, Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Alymkadyr Beishenaliev.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also held the official opening of the medical institution, the construction of which is a symbol of strong Kyrgyz-Turkish friendship and cooperation.
The hospital began providing medical services to citizens of Kyrgyzstan in October 2021 based on previously reached agreements. Last year, the hospital performed kidney transplants for three patients, and in June 2024, a liver transplant operation was successfully performed.
In September of this year, by the decree of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, in recognition of the outstanding contribution of the President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan to strengthening and developing Kyrgyz-Turkish relations, his name was given to the Bishkek State Hospital of Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship.
