Bishkek, Nov.18, 2024. /Kabar/. International observers have summarized the results of monitoring the elections of deputies of local councils in Kyrgyzstan.
Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Mirvokhid Azimov noted that the mission visited 16 polling stations in Bishkek and Kant on the election day. Public order was ensured at these polling stations and all necessary administrative measures were taken to ensure the free expression of the will of the population on the voting day.
The mission witnessed the participation of national and international observers, which reinforces the transparency and accountability of the elections to the public.
Azimov added that taking into account the duration of the elections, it is obvious that the Central Elections Commission (CEC) Of Kyrgyzstan made maximum efforts both for the preparation and during the election process.
Representative of the Organization of Islamic Commonwealth Adamu Baubakar noted that the elections to local councils were held in accordance with international standards. He congratulated the Kyrgyz people on the success of the elections, which raise democracy to a new level.
AWEB representative Seung Reol Kim also praised the Nov. 17 elections. He noted that the elections were peaceful, quiet and smooth.
The representtaive also emphasized the professionalism of election commission members and the high level of democracy.
Observer from Azerbaijani CEC Shaitdin Aliyev noted the great preparatory work of the Kyrgyz CEC, adding that all conditions were created for voters and candidates, and appropriate equipment was purchased.
The member of the CEC of Azerbaijan summarized that Nov. 17 elections were free, democratic and met the world's high standards.
Member of the Uzbek CEC Bakhodirjan Yunusov said that during the observation no violations of legislation were found, the elections were calm and democratic.
