Bishkek, Nov.18, 2024. /Kabar/. On Nov. 20-21, the Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek will host IT Fest 2024 Cyber Kyrgyzstan for the first time, President of the Federation of Drones and Robotics of Kyrgyzstan Baizak Urmambetov told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
The event will be held on the basis of the Physical Culture and Recreation Complex “Gazprom to Children”.
“We were inspired by the participation in the Games of the Future in Tatarstan and decided to hold a similar event in Kyrgyzstan. As part of the Cyber Kyrgyzstan festival, we will organize a national tournament to identify the best students of universities and colleges in the country,” Urmambetov said.
Students from more than 20 universities and 20 colleges in Kyrgyzstan will take part in the festival.
Representatives from Russia also arrived. They provided the necessary elements for the opening of the innovation school.
Director of InLab Yevgeny Zarkhin emphasized that their goal is to integrate engineering education into the educational process of Kyrgyzstan.
“We want students not only to create robots, but also to understand their purpose and prospects for their use,” he added.
The purpose of the festival is to prepare students to participate in international competitions and strengthen the position of Kyrgyzstan in the field of IT and robotics.
In addition, Baizak Urmambetov said that a large-scale event “Games of the Future” is planned to be held in Issyk-Kul in the summer of 2025.
