Bishkek, Oct. 29, 2024. /Kabar/. Director of Kabar Kyrgyz National News Agency Mederbek Shermetaliev visited the UzA National News Agency of Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, the parties noted the need to develop relations between the leading news agencies of the two countries in accordance with the requirements of the time and signed an updated Memorandum of Understanding.
The counterparts also noted the importance of taking measures to expand the scale of information exchange, systematic improvement of experience and qualification of staff.
The director of Kabar News Agency stressed the importance to disseminate unbiased and reliable information about the reforms being implemented in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
“We have agreed with the leadership of the National News Agency of Uzbekistan to further expand the partnership. It is worth noting that citizens of Uzbekistan are very actively involved in political processes. Taking this opportunity, I would like to wish the brotherly Uzbek people peace, well-being and prosperity,” Shermetaliev said.
He emphasized that Kabar, as the main state news agency of Kyrgyzstan, regularly publishes materials related to the life of Uzbekistan.
The UzA National News Agency noted that they actively cooperate with such structures as the Alliance of Turkic News Agencies (ATNA), the Council of Heads of State News Agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (Informsovet) and the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA).
