Bishkek, Jan. 23, 2025. / Kabar /. Human rights are respected in our country and this is one of the main priorities of state policy, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov told in a recent interview with Kabar News Agency.

Answering the question about human rights activist Aziza Abdirasulova, who left Kyrgyzstan because unknown persons allegedly surveiled her, President Zhaparov noted that no one surveilled Aziza Abdirasulova.

“If such a statement had been made 10-15 years ago, it could have been believed. In the current era of technology, suspicious stalkers or cars can be filmed on a smartphone and this evidence can be openly presented to the relevant authorities, or through social networks for wide publicity in society.

This is just politicization of the issue. Only those who create this "noise" believe in it. No one will touch Aziza. Nothing will happen to her. Someday she will return and freely walk the streets. Then she herself will be ashamed in front of people. Let her return without any politicization.

I always repeat that human rights are respected in Kyrgyzstan, whatever you say there is a freedom of speech,” he said.
