Bishkek, Jan.23, 2025. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev paid an official visit to Russia on Jan. 21-22.
The foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Russia thoroughly discussed a wide range of bilateral topical issues, including key areas of further cooperation in the political, trade and economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
The priorities of the Kyrgyz Republic's chairmanship in the CSTO were outlined and the issues of strengthening cooperation within the international organizations and integration associations, in particular the UN, CIS, EAEU, SCO, etc., were considered.
Highly appreciating the results of interaction between the parties in 2024, Jeenbek Kulubaev and Sergey Lavrov paid special attention to the implementation of the agreements reached by the heads of state and government of the two countries, as well as plans to organize visits and meetings at the highest and highest levels for the current year.
Minister Kulubaev also dwelt in detail on migration issues. Following the talks, the Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Russia for 2025-2027 was signed.
During the official visit, Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, observed a minute of silence for the fallen Soviet soldiers during the Great Patriotic War, and familiarized himself with the activities of the Department of the Situation and Crisis Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
