Bishkek, Jan.23, 2025. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan commented on the information about a Kyrgyzstani citizen who was beaten by her husband in Türkiye.
On Jan.21, the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Antalya received information about the fact of beating of a Kyrgyz citizen by her husband, a Turkish citizen.
As a result of negotiations with law enforcement authorities of Türkiye, on the same day the child of the Kyrgyz citizen, who was staying with her husband's parents, was handed over to the mother.
The husband of the victim was detained by the local police and criminal proceedings are underway.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan is keeping this issue under control. The staff of the Consulate General is in contact with the victim and lawyers to provide legal advice.
