Bishkek, Nov. 11, 2024. / Kabar /. On November 11, 2024, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic Avazbek Atakhanov have met with Director General of the Central Asian Countries and the Economic Cooperation Organization Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Aizaz Khan.
The parties discussed current issues of Kyrgyz-Pakistani relations, as well as promising areas of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Ambassador Avazbek Atakhanov thanked the Pakistani side for joining the initiative of the Kyrgyz Republic "Group of Member States of the Mountain Partnership". He noted the readiness of the Kyrgyz Republic to expand and diversify cooperation between the two countries in all aspects of mutual interest, especially in trade, education and science, culture and tourism.
Separately, possible measures for the practical implementation of the quadrilateral transit transportation agreement, signed by Pakistan, China, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan on March 9, 1995 in Islamabad, were discussed.
Having emphasized the priority of significantly increasing trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, the parties discussed the dates for holding the next inter-MFA political consultations and the upcoming meeting of the Kyrgyz-Pakistani intergovernmental commission.
