Kyrgyzstan participates in CSTO exercises in Tajikistan

Bishkek, Oct 22, 2024. /Kabar/. Military contingents from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, operational groups of the Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat took part in the joint exercise Rubezh-2024 at the Kharbmaidon training ground in Tajikistan.

The active phase of the joint exercise with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CRDF CAR) Rubezh-2024 has ended on Monday, during which issues of preparation and conduct of combat operations to destroy illegal armed formations that invaded the territory of a CSTO member state were worked out.

The total number of exercise participants was about 1,500 people and 250 units of military and special equipment, including aircraft, helicopters and UAVs were involved. The active phase of the Rubezh-2024 exercise was attended by military attachés from Russia, India, Iran, China, Turkey, the United States and representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross accredited in the Republic of Tajikistan as observers.
