Bishkek, Oct.30, 2024. /Kabar/. In 2023, Kyrgyzstan showed the best indicators of checkpoint passage time among the countries of Central Asia, Chairwoman of the Partnership for Transport and Logistics in Central Asia Larisa Kislyakova said at the International Logistics Exhibition in Bishkek.
She specified that the average waiting time for perishable goods at Kyrgyz checkpoints was only 10 minutes, which is significantly lower than in neighboring countries. For non-perishable goods, the waiting time at Kyrgyz checkpoints made 20 minutes.
“For comparison, in Kazakhstan, the waiting time at the checkpoint for perishable goods was 1 hour and 50 minutes, and for non-perishable - 2 days and 8 hours. In Tajikistan, the waiting time at a checkpoint for perishable goods was 57 minutes and 1 hour and 27 minutes for non-perishable goods. In Uzbekistan, trucks with perishable goods waited for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, and for non-perishable goods - 2 hours and 11 minutes,” Kislyakova explained.
