Bishkek, Nov.18, 2024. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s local council elections were held calmly and without gross violations, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
In connection with important events in the life of the country related to the elections, the Ministry of Internal Affairs took all measures aimed at ensuring security and maintaining law and order.
Thus, the elections of deputies of local councils of the Kyrgyz Republic ended at 8:00 p.m. Nov. 17.
At 2443 polling stations in all regions of the republic more than 15 thousand employees of internal affairs bodies continue to work in a reinforced mode. In order to effectively fulfill the assigned tasks and to ensure coordination of the activities of territorial subdivisions in the field, deputy ministers of internal affairs, heads of services and departments of the Internal Ministry are working in the regions.
Elections to local councils of the Kyrgyz Republic were held without gross violations.
On Nov. 17, 69 information about violations of electoral legislation was registered from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
“It is likely that the number of violations during the election period is not limited only to today's registered data. It is possible that applications and complaints will be received.
To date, in general, the socio-political situation on the territory of the republic is stable. Elections to local councils of the Kyrgyz Republic were held calmly and without gross violations,” the report says.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to fulfill the assigned tasks to ensure public safety.
