Malaysian Shah Alam city hosted a meeting between Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Malaysia Anvar Anarbayev and Executive Council of Selangor State, Minister of Agriculture and Infrastructure of the state Izham bin Hashim, as well as with a group of businessmen of the state.
In the course of the meeting, the Malaysian side was presented an information about investment opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
The meeting participants discussed the development of trade, economic and investment relations between the countries, with a focus on livestock and meat products processing.
Agreements were reached to organize mutual visits of business delegations of the two countries in the near future to discuss the possibility of launching specific investment projects in these areas.
Selangor is the most developed state in Malaysia with the highest GDP and the largest population of any state in Malaysia. It also has one of the highest living standards and the lowest poverty rate in the country.
