National Football Academy of Kyrgyz Football Union opened in Bishkek

Bishkek, Oct 23, 2024. /Kabar/. On October 22, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and President of the Asian Football Confederation Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa jointly opened the National Football Academy of the Kyrgyz Football Union in Bishkek.

The press service of the head of state said that the academy is located on an area of ​​3,374 hectares and includes modern sports facilities: football fields with natural and artificial surfaces, training grounds, a hotel complex, a sports hall for futsal games, stands, a cafeteria and other necessary facilities for training athletes.

The construction of the academy was possible thanks to the financial support of international and local organizations, including FIFA, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the Football Support Fund and the Kyrgyz Football Union.

The site of the current academy was previously a city training ground, but thanks to the efforts of the state and partners, the territory was cleared and prepared for the development of a football complex.

Sadyr Zhaparov and Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa inspected the territory of the National Football Academy, familiarized themselves with the living conditions, training of football players and expressed confidence that the new academy will make a significant contribution to the development of football in Kyrgyzstan, as well as create conditions for the preparation of future champions.
