The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkiye has requested information regarding the fire in the Kartalkaya ski hotel in the Bolu province of the Republic of Turkiye, which killed 10 people and injured 32, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
According to preliminary information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Turkiye, work is currently underway to extinguish the fire on the upper floors of the building, while there are no Kyrgyz citizens among the dead and injured.
The fire broke out last night in a restaurant on the hotel grounds. The flames quickly engulfed the entire hotel, since the building was wooden. As a result of the emergency, 10 people died and 32 were injured. According to Bolu Governor Abdulaliz Aydin, two people died after falling from the upper floors of the hotel, and one person died from smoke inhalation.
