Bishkek, Oct. 19, 2024. / Kabar/. The grand opening of the Days of Kyrgyz Cinema took place in the Victory Museum in Moscow on October 18 as part of the Days of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation.
The Ministry of Culture reported that this event is dedicated to the centenary of Kyrgyz statehood and the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, which marks an important milestone in the history of the country.
The event opened a series of film screenings representing the diversity and richness of Kyrgyz cinema, demonstrating the cultural traditions, identity and spiritual heritage of the people of Kyrgyzstan.
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov and Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova, who noted the importance of intercultural dialogue between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, which strengthens friendly ties between the peoples. The Days of Kyrgyz Cinema have become an important event in the cultural life of Moscow and a symbol of strengthening cultural ties between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The festival invites all viewers to discover the world of Kyrgyz cinema and to be imbued with deep respect for the history and traditions of the Kyrgyz people, the report said.
