Bishkek, Nov. 6, 2024. / Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov presented Prime Minister of the Republic of Hungary Viktor Orban with the Highest Order of the Turkic World.
The award was presented to Viktor Orban for his special merits in developing relations between the member states and observers of the Organization of Turkic States, as well as for enhancing the authority of the Organization in the international arena.
During the awarding ceremony, Sadyr Zhaparov noted that Hungary occupies a special place in the Organization of Turkic States.
"A significant political dialogue has been established between our countries at all levels, fruitful cooperation is carried out in various fields, and partnership relations are maintained within the European Union and other international organizations," the head of state said.
He stressed that under the leadership of Viktor Orban, Hungary's role in relations between the European Union and the Turkic states is steadily growing and becoming more and more significant.
"Our cooperation with the Hungarian brothers is aimed at developing a long-term, effective and practical partnership. The opening of the Organization's European Office in Budapest was made possible thanks to the desire of our Hungarian colleagues for Turkic integration and the personal contribution of Mr. Viktor Orban," the President noted, emphasizing that today the activities of the OTS office in Hungary have become an important mechanism and bridge for the development of political dialogue between the Turkic and European countries.
President Sadyr Zhaparov added that under the leadership of the Budapest office, the Drought Prevention Institute was created, which uses the knowledge and technologies of world-class Hungarian engineers in water resources management. This is especially relevant in the context of global climate change.
