SCO stock exchanges to create single platform for cooperation

Bishkek, Nov.1, 2024. /Kabar/. China’s Qingdao hosted a meeting, where representatives of stock exchanges of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states agreed to create a single platform for cooperation within the framework of the Asia-Europe Exchange Initiative (AAEX).

The Forum “Platforms for Cooperation between Commodity Exchanges of China-SCO” was attended by Acting President of the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange (KSE)Aida Chodulova and member of the KSE Board of Directors Nurbek Elebaev, the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange reported.

During her speech, Aida Chodulova spoke about the Exchange's main activities, the processes of integration into the national and global economy, as well as provided statistics on trading in the commodity sector of the KASE.

KSE, Commodity Exchange of Pakistan, Securities and Special Registration Agency and Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan Commodity Exchange “Eurasian Trading System” unanimously proposed to introduce AEEX to provide facilities to serve businesses and to join the AEEX platform to facilitate trading.

The event brought together representatives of exchanges from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, China, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan and Iran.

The forum participants expressed confidence that the new platform of the SCO exchanges will assist commodity exchanges of different countries in jointly providing information on commodities, matching supply and demand in the market, services on transaction matching, supply chain financing, warehousing and logistics, as well as holding economic and trade forums for economic development and trade and economic exchanges of the SCO countries.
