Bishkek, Jan. 23, 2025 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov gave an interview to Kabar News Agency, in which he answered questions that caused public discussion. Among them is the construction of the Three Peaks ski resort.

- During the New Year holidays, you announced on your Facebook page that you had visited the Manzherok resort in Altai Region of Russia, and that a tender for the construction of the Three Peaks ski base would soon be announced. Can you tell us about your trip?

Yes, I spent two days at the Manzherok resort in Altai. The purpose of my visit was not only to have a rest, but also to personally assess the construction of the ski base and familiarize myself with the process.

As you know, we are on the verge of launching an ambitious large-scale project, which will become a significant stimulus for the development of winter tourism in our country. This is the construction of the Three Peaks ski complex.

This project along with the construction project around the airport in Tamchy will bring billions of dollars to our country.

The Manzherok resort mentioned above is a new vacation destination. Half of the complex (50%) is already completed and the other half is under construction. It was important for me to personally familiarize myself with the issues of infrastructure, service, construction and placement of guest houses. Now I am sending the chief architect there together with the builders so that they can see everything with their own eyes.

Before embarking on our big project, we want to carefully study the world's experience in order to avoid their mistakes and incorporate their advantages into our project.

As for the Three Peaks, this project, if everything works out well, will become the largest ski complex with the longest trail in Central Asia. The total length of the three tracks will be 250 kilometers. It will be possible to hold world-class competitions here.

In 2026, we plan to commission the track in the Zhyrgalan area, and in 2027 the track in Ak-Bulak will be completed. By December 2028, if everything goes according to plan, the third ski track in Boz Uchuk will also be ready, and the Three Peaks tracks will be united. Thus, we will have the largest ski resort in Central Asia.

In general, we expect to complete the whole project within 7-8 years,” the president said.
